2002 Single Family Home over 3,000 SF - Bronze Award
The Homeowners wanted to have a home that looked like a classic Vermont L-shaped farmhouse on the outside but that had a open, usable floor plan on the inside. We designed a 3-bedroom, 2-1/2 bath house, with 3,228 SF of living space. This house also has 800 SF of expansion space in a bonus room over the garage plus a very useable basement. The house is conventionally framed and is clad on the exterior with cedar clapboards and trim. The windows are Marvin’s Integrity line. The kitchen cabinets are manufactured by Cabico and the kitchen and kid’s bath countertops are granite. Marble slabs were used for the master bath vanity top and tub deck. The house is heated with a forced air system. A charming stone-clad fireplace was added in the family room. Flooring is a combination of maple hardwood, slate, tile and carpet.
