$8,000 First-Time Home Buyer Tax Credit Available!

This is a great time for first-time home buyers, or for people who have not owned a home in the past three years, to purchase a home as they can take advantage of a tax credit that is available to qualified buyers in an amount equal to 10% of the purchase price up to a maximum of $8,000.  Here are a couple of great resources to give you more information.

The first is a videotaped interview of Rob Dietz who is director of tax issues for the National Association of Home Builders, discussing the $8,000 first-time home buyer tax credit.

The second resource is a website prepared by the National Association of Home Builders that explains all aspects of the First-Time Home Buyer Tax Credit.  Click here to view this informative website.
